Building a SlideShow of Events with WhenInTime
By nishapg
WhenInTime.com which can be used to build timelines on the web recently enabled the ability to create a slideshow of events in a timeline. This article provides more details about this new feature and explains how students (and other users) can utilize this great tool for their benefit
Timeline Tools On The Web
Dictionary.com defines a timeline as a linear representation of important events in the order in which they occurred. There are multiple timeline tools on the web today. As an example take a look at xtimeline.com and timetoast.com. These tools enable a user to create a timeline of events but the timelines themselves are limited in functionality from a graphical representation perspective. WhenInTime goes a step ahead and provides a highly interactive graphical representation of a timeline that can scale from a century based view to a daily view of events.
WhenInTime
http://WhenInTime.com currently has a collection of a few different themes and templates to choose from. It also allows a user to change the background on a timeline. The themes provide a variety of color and styles to choose from. The templates enable the user to control the layout and the look and feel of the timeline. The most recent addition to the collection of templates is a slideshow based template. By selecting this template a user can enable an automatic slideshow of events in their web pages or blogs.
